July 10, 1996: God birthed a new concept for urban ministry as 17 pastors began to look at possibilities for a new and innovative ministry in urban areas as well as in existing congregations.
1997-2005: Urban Mission Developer of LINC D/FW, Rev. Mark T. Joeckel was called to set the vision and lead this new and innovative ministry effort.
Spring 2003: Decommissioning of Hope Lutheran Church (East Dallas) at the same time the ministry location was re-commissioned to LINC through the Texas District
August 27, 2007: Oscar Benavides accepted the call to become the new Executive Director of what has been newly named, LINC North Texas.
July 9, 2009: LINC North Texas received official 501(c)(3) status.
2010: LINC starts the SALI (Student Advancement Leadership Initiative)
